Kokandiva - Raigad visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Kokandiva' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Maharashtra.
Kokandiva is situated in Riagad Fort National Reserve in Maharashtra district of India. This was a tiny watchtower in a small plateau only about 3m by 7m in size. However, the route up to the fort is formidable, with steep slopes 700m tall on three sides, and 200m tall on the fourth with an incline to the top of 70 degrees. This natural topography made Kokandiva an ideal place to station lookouts on the routes near Raigad and Kavlyaghaat. From the top the panoramic views encompass Raigad, the entire Rairi-Guiri hill range, Lingana fort, Kaal river, Kavlya-Bavlya khind (pass) and Sandoshi village.
The fort is situated near to Ghol village and Garjai Wad, where the road ends.
